न्यायवैद्यक शास्त्र ह्याबाबत सामान्य माणसांना जरी प्रचंड उत्सुकता असली तरी त्यातील फारच थोडी माहिती असते. डॉ.वसुधा आपटे ह्या न्यायवैद्यक शास्त्रातील प्राध्यापिका व तज्ज्ञ आहेत. अनेक किचकट व अवघड वाटणार्‍या प्रकरणांमध्ये त्यांनी नायर हॉस्पिटल, मुंबई येथे काम करत असताना न्यायालयास मदत केली आहे. जे ज्ञान त्या वैद्यकीय विद्यार्थ्यांना देत असत किंवा न्यायालयात त्या ज्ञानाच्या आधारे साक्ष देत असत, ते सर्व ज्ञान अतिशय साध्यासोप्या व सर्वसामान्यांना समजेल अशा पद्धतीने त्यांनी लिहून सर्वांना उपलब्ध करून दिलेले आहे. ह्या विषयावर इंग्रजीत अनेक पुस्तके आहेत परंतु मराठीमध्ये मात्र ह्या प्रकारचे हे पहिलेच पुस्तक असावे असे वाटते.
आपल्या आजूबाजूला घडत असलेल्या मानवनिर्मित आणि नैसर्गिक आपत्तींची वाढती संख्या लक्षात घेता आपत्तींना उचित प्रतिसाद कसा द्यावा, धैर्याने सामोरे कसे जावे ह्याबाबतचे प्रशिक्षण, येणार्‍या काळात प्रत्येक नागरिकाच्या हिताचे तर ठरेलच, पण त्याचे ते कर्तव्यही असेल आणि हे पुस्तक नेमका हाच हेतू साध्य करते.
हे पुस्तक संवेदनशील मनाचं व्यक्तीचं प्रतिबिंब आहे. आजूबाजूच्या दुलर्क्षित केलेल्या घटनांकडे बघून… त्यांचा अंदाज बांधून त्यावर लेखिका आशाताई वाबगावकर यांनी स्वत:चे विचार व्यक्त केले आहेत. अनेक गोष्टींना वेगळ्या नजरेने….वेगळया दृष्टिकोनातून पाहण्याचा अंदाज हा आपल्याला स्पर्शून जातो. एखाद्या गायकाने रागांमधून सुरांचं मंथन आपल्यासमोर पेश करावं त्या अनुभवांच्या संगीताचे राग आळवत त्यांनी आपल्या जगण्याचं मंथन आपल्यासमोर मांडलं आहे अन्‌ हे लिखाण त्यांच्या नावाप्रमाणेच आशादायी आहे, प्रफुल्लित करणारं आहे.

आपणास आवडेल, झेपेल असा उचित संकल्प करून हा सुदीप श्रद्धावान अर्पण करतात. स्वत:च्या, आप्तांच्या, अपत्यांच्या क्षेकुशलतेसाठी, विकासासाठी व संरक्षणासाठी संकल्प करून तत्प्रतीकस्वरूपात श्रद्धावान ‘स्वेच्छासंकल्प सुदीप’ अर्पण करतात.
हा सुदीप आपल्या उचित व पवित्र इच्छा पूर्ण होण्यासाठी, किंवा पूर्ण झाल्यावर श्रद्धावान अर्पण करतात. पवित्र व मंगल इच्छापूर्तिसाठी केल्या जाणार्‍या प्रयासांना बळ मिळावे यासाठी मनोन प्रार्थनाही करतात.
‘ಕೃಪಾ’ ಅಂದರೆ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದ ಹಾಗು ‘ಸಿಂಧು’ ಅಂದರೆ ಸಾಗರ. ಈ ಸಾಗರ ನೀರಿನಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿರದೆ ಅನಾದಿ ಅನಂತನಾದ ಸದ್ಗುರುವಿನ ಕೃಪೆಯಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿರುವದು – ಇದರ ಅಸ್ತಿತ್ವ ವಿಶ್ವದ ನಿರ್ಮಿತಿಯ ಮೊದಲೂ ಇತ್ತು ಹಾಗು ಪ್ರಳಯದ ನಂತರವೂ ಇರುವುದು. ಅದ್ದರಿಂದ ಈ ಸಾಗರ ಅನಂತವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ – ಇದು ‘ಪರಮಾತ್ಮಾ’, ‘ಸದ್ಗುರು’
’કૃપા’ એટલે આશિર્વાદ અને ’સિંધુ’ એટલે સાગર આ સાગર એટલે જળથી ભરેલો સાગર નહીં પરંતુ આ એ અનાદીઅનંતનો છે જેમનું અસ્તિત્વ વિશ્વ નિર્માણની પહેલા પણ હતું પ્રલય થયા પછી પણ રહેશે. તેથી જ આ સાગર અનંત છે. આ ’પરમાત્મા’, ’સદગુરુ’ છે.
’कृपा’ मतलब आशिर्वाद और ’सिंधु’ मतलब सागर। यह सागर जलसे भरा नही बल्की यह उस अनादिअनंत का है जिसका अस्तित्व विश्व निर्मिति से पेहेले भी था और प्रलय के पश्चात भी होगा । इस लिए यह सागर अनंत है. यह ’परमात्मा’, ’सद्गुरु’ है ।
’कृपा’ म्हणजे आशिर्वाद आणि ’सिंधु’ म्हणजे समुद्र. हा समुद्र पाण्याचा नसून त्या अनादिअनंताचा आहे ज्याचे अस्तित्व ह्या विश्व निर्मितिच्या आधीही होते आणि प्रलया नंतर देखील असेल; आणि म्हणूनच हा समुद्र अनंत आहे. हा ’तोच’ आहे, ’परमात्मा’, ’सद्गुरु’….
